DMCA Policy

Last updated: February 22, 2026

We respect the hard work of creators and take copyright infringement seriously. Even though ZipDownloader doesn't actually store or host files long-term, we strictly comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 ("DMCA"). If you believe someone is using our site to infringe on your copyright, this page explains exactly how to let us know so we can fix it.

1. How We Actually Handle Files

Before filing a notice, it's important to understand how ZipDownloader works. We are a utility tool, not a file hosting platform. We do not index, catalogue, or publicly share the files our users upload. In fact, any file uploaded to our server for conversion is automatically wiped from our drives the moment the conversion finishes. Because we don't permanently host files, it is physically impossible for us to remove a file from our servers that has already been automatically deleted.

2. Filing a Takedown Notice

If you still believe there is infringing material hosted on ZipDownloader (such as a copyrighted image in a blog post or hardcoded onto the site), please send us a written DMCA takedown notice containing:

  • 1. The Original Work: Tell us exactly what the copyrighted work is and provide a link to where it legally lives.
  • 2. The Infringing Material: Give us the exact URL on ZipDownloader.com where this material is currently located so we can find it.
  • 3. Your Contact Info: Provide your full legal name, mailing address, phone number, and email.
  • 4. A Good Faith Statement: A statement saying you genuinely believe the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner.
  • 5. An Accuracy Statement: A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information you are providing is accurate and you are the owner (or authorized to act for them).
  • 6. Your Signature: An electronic or physical signature.

3. Where to Send It

Please email your notice directly to our copyright agent:

  • Email: dmca@zipdownloader.com
  • Subject Line: DMCA Takedown Request
  • Alternative: Our Contact Form

4. What Happens Next?

Once we receive a valid DMCA notice, we move fast. We will:

  • Acknowledge your email within 48 hours.
  • Investigate the specific URL you provided.
  • Immediately remove the infringing material if it exists on our servers.

5. Counter-Notices & Repeat Infringers

If material was removed by mistake, the affected party has the right to file a counter-notice. We also maintain a strict repeat-infringer policy. If a user is caught repeatedly trying to use our platform to process illegal or highly copyrighted materials, their IP will be permanently banned from using ZipDownloader tools.

7. False Claims Warning

Please be aware that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake, may be subject to liability for damages, including costs and attorney's fees. Do not file a DMCA notice or counter-notification unless you are certain of your claim.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this DMCA Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
